Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 years experience in aviation industry. Relative Gulfstream experience preferred.. 5 years experience in training related area.

Position Purpose:

Under minimal supervision, serve as a department liaison in assigned area of expertise, technical, regulatory, safety or manufacturing. Will be involved in training design and existing course enhancements in conjunction with instructional designer. Is respected as a subject matter expert (SME) in their area of expertise (technical, regulatory, safety or manufacturing). Supports training at all Gulfstream facilities as required. Will be assigned special projects in area of expertise, with the business and internal department

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  1. Serve as the department liaison collaborating with the business on special projects that support changes in processes, procedures, corporate issues and strategy. Manage and assists with workforce development projects as assigned .
  2. Acts as a training partner to business; strategically assesses and meets the businesss training related needs, collaborating with the executive team .
  3. Partners with Instructional Design team to support training needs analyses and other strategies to meet identified needs and corporate objectives independently. Revises course content to reflect changes in processes, procedures, corporate issues and strategy. Collaborates with Instructional Design to ensure changes to course material are updated appropriately in the LMS .
  4. Teaches others how to effectively prepare course objectives, outlines, lesson plans, handouts, and other instructional material .
  5. Certifies others in course content; demonstrates expertise in courseware and practices .
  6. Coordinates with various business units, vendors, and consultants to identify materials needed for training course development and implementation .
  7. Interface with business units to ensure the training department is knowledgeable of product changes or modifications and incorporates them into new or existing training programs .
  8. Analyze new training tools and processes needed to build and sustain a high caliber workforce.

    Conducts high level evaluations of instructors knowledge/skills .

Additional Functions:

  1. Operates as an organizational leader and an internal consultant to management in the identification, development and execution of training strategies and processes .
  2. Mentor Training Instructors as required. and aid in the development of their skills and abilities .
  3. Ensures equipment is functioning properly and training facilities are maintained in an orderly and professional manner .
  4. Cross-train to teach additional courses on an as needed basis .
  5. Promote and ensure a safe training environment .
  6. Travel as necessary to conduct training .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  1. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  2. Knowledge of most current concepts, practices, and procedures within field.
  3. Must exhibit good organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and team building skills.
  4. Skilled user of MS Office products.
  5. Travel Required.
  6. Ability to conduct training for all shifts and facilities.
