The
Training Coordinator
is responsible for the coordination of crew training with both internal staff and external organizations.


Essential Duties:

  • Coordinates with internal departments (crew scheduling, crew planning, Human Resources, Chief Pilot Office) on behalf of the Training department to arrange informational exchanges and updates to pilot schedules.
  • Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) – ensures that all foreign national pilots employed by Western Global obtain the required approvals from TSA for initial and recurrent training. Submits applications in a timely manner and stays abreast of changes in wait times and requirements.
  • Conducts all onboarding of new hire pilots’ documentation and transition from homes to training centers.
  • Conducts audits of training department process, procedures, and SMS requirements.
  • Tracks ETR and BlueOne to publish training memos for Crew Planning.
  • Tracks ETR and BlueOne to process the due dates for all crew members, including LCP’s and APD’s.
  • Distributes and sets up iPad, phones, and other company required equipment to new hires and captain upgrades.
  • Obtains and catalogues all training materials given to trainees, orders additional supplies as needed.
  • Upon separation of employee, collects all company materials from employee.
  • At the direction of the Director of Training, submits communication to the FAA on training schedules, OE observation rides, and line checks.
  • Quarterly reviews of SMS and its application to the Training and Standards department, makes suggestions to the Director of Training on best practices.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, training, or aviation preferred.
  • 2+ years crew training coordination experience or related airline function required.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Microsoft PowerBi experience preferred.
