Job Description:

Icelandair is a lively workplace with operations in Iceland, Europe, and North America. We are one of Icelands largest and most diverse companies and work in an international, ever-changing environment. We fly to multiple cities in Europe, the United States, and Canada, as well as destinations within Iceland and in Greenland.

We are looking for team members for the Customer Service team over the summer (with possible part-time extention of the contract over the winter), which is part of the Commercial division. 

The Contact Center is a diverse, energetic and cohesive team that and delivers exemplary service to customers in the ever-changing world of flight and travel.

Pro-active, versatile individuals with excellent communication skills would fit well into the team. We are looking to fill roles on weekdays as well as on shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales and service over phone, email, chat and social media;
  • Provide advice and information regarding travels;
  • Provide assistance to customers.

Qualifications:

  • Education fit for purpose, ideally within the travel industry;
  • High school certificate;
  • Good verbal and written Icelandic and English skills are essential;
  • Additional language skills would be a great benefit, e.g. German, French, Danish, Swedish or Norwegian;
  • Job experience within travel industry preferred;
  • Exemplary service orientation;
  • Resourcefulness;
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively within a team;
  • Strong communications skills;
  • Strong computer skills and ability to promptly adapt to required systems;
  • Amadeus, Davinci or Altéa as well as Salesforce experience preferred.
