Job Description:
As the VIE - North America Digital Transformation Program Support - Herndon, VA, you will work at Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in the North America (NA) Headquarter office located in Herndon, Virginia, USA (outside Washington, DC). You will join the NA Information Management (IM) department, in the Regional & Digital Initiatives (R&DI) Domain.
In this role, you will support the NA Digital Transformation (DT) Program by coordinating and directly contributing to multiple Digital Transformation initiatives, with a focus on emerging technologies, new applications development, and analytics projects. The NA DT Program is a multi-functional team sponsored by the NA CEO with Senior Leadership Team Steering, to solve business issues and create value with digital solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
The VIE in this role will be responsible for:
Support and coordinate the improvement of the R&DI Domain’s management and operational activities.
Perform market analysis of new tools and technologies, and assess potential value for Airbus via small Proof of Concepts.
Monitor the R&DI portfolio of projects to ensure adherence to budget, scope, schedule and quality.
Assist R&DI Product Managers in the deployment of new applications (requirement analysis, development of project plans, testing, deployment, training, communication).
Develop communication and training material for Digital awareness.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education
Required Experience and skills
2 years of relevant work experience
The VIE should have a passion for innovation and new technologies (such as AI, ML, AR/VR/MR, automation solutions, robotics, IOT,…) with a clear and strong business acumen (technology for business value vs. technology for technology).
S/he should be knowledgeable with new ways of working (i.e. Agile, SAFe) and familiar with standard workplace technologies (GSuite, Jira, …).
S/he should have advanced English language skills, and not be afraid to speak-up and challenge peers on new ways of working and business values of new technologies.
Travel
The work location will be Airbus Headquarters in Herndon, VA, USA. The VIE may be traveling to various sites of Airbus across North America (US and Canada), and as such must be able to travel accordingly.
