VIE within Cabin & Cargo Architecture (d/f/m)

Definition VIE

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Candidates meeting these criteria and interested in a VIE, please register before your 28th birthday on the website www.civiweb.com. Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Identify and develop flexible platforms to be applied in the Cabin & Cargo of the future.

  • Prepare these standards for implementation into the next aircraft developments.

  • Connect & collaborate with stakeholders looking for synergies on different aircraft platforms/programmes.

  • Drive improvements and new product lines to enable onboarding innovative technologies for the Cabin & Cargo products.

Desired skills and qualifications
  • Engineering degree within aeronautical, electrical or mechanical engineering, mechatronics, computer science (or equivalent).

  • Already your first job experience, preferably in an international environment, would be beneficial.

  • Strong technical background and interest in product development and innovation.

  • Willingness to develop leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Analytical thinking, creativity and proactive approach to problem solving.

  • Passion for aviation with a human and passenger centric approach.

  • Strong interest in technologies and products which are even beyond your area of expertise.

  • Systems engineering / systems thinking.

  • Language skills: English professional level, German and French beneficial.
