Job Overview: 

Performs weld repairs for various aerospace parts and components. 

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and write English.
• Read and follow all work instructions, as well as properly document work performed using documents such as but not limited to, process planning, Engineering Orders (MRB/EO’s), Process Specifications, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Manuals, etc.
• Set-up, layout, fabricate, and rework finished components
• Inspect welded components for consistency
• Inspect and correct welds as needed
• Use of common tools or equipment associated with cutting, grinding and welding.
• Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment.
• Follow company safety guidelines at all times
• Wear personal protection equipment such as specialized goggles, helmets and gloves.
• Attention to detail

• 3-5 Years aircraft/component maintenance.
• Minimum of 3 years welding experience

Education:

• High school diploma, GED equivalent
• Must be certified for any materials and processes relating to welding of product type and specification.

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
