Duration: 12 months

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities
You will be helping the research activities of Airline Sciences as an Model Validation and Verification Engineering Intern and can expect to be involved in the following:  
Based on data modelling provided by IT, with a focus on business needs, extract and integrate both structured and unstructured data from various databases/data-stores.
Develop, test and implement the most suitable analytical models to identify meaningful patterns or trends from complex data sets and types.
Analyse and improve regularly the accuracy of models against business needs.
Communicate findings through effective and easy-to-understand data visualisations adapted to the audience.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Current student studying Bachelor or Master’s in Engineering or Data Science

  • Specific experience or interests: strong interest in understanding the way airlines operate, the performance of aircraft and strong rigour in data analysis and understanding

  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)

  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
