Position Responsibilities:The selected candidate will be responsible for mixing, applying, and selecting paints to original colors or match color specifications according to the customer and engineering planning. Basic Qualifications:
*Willingness to work with Plastic Media Blasting and other paint prep activities.
*Ability to work with various types of aircraft paints and coatings.
*Ability to wear a respirator as part of safety requirements during painting tasks. Job Duties:
*Coat aircraft surfaces with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other materials using various tools (e.g., brushes, rollers, spray guns) and other devices.
*Remove old paint and prepare surfaces for new coating by scraping and smoothing.
*Ensure proper paint adhesion by treating and roughening aluminum surfaces.
*Mask areas of the aircraft that should not be painted to ensure precision.
*Use stencils to paint letters, numerals, and insignia on aircraft.
*Perform general painting tasks within the aircraft paint shop environment, including RAM coating. Desired Skills:
*Knowledge of various aircraft painting techniques and materials.
*Proficiency in preparing surfaces for painting (e.g., sanding, smoothing, roughening).
*Experience with masking and applying stencils for precise painting.
*Ability to follow safety procedures, including the use of a respirator when necessary.
*Ability to perform tasks such as Plastic Media Blasting and other prep work to prepare aircraft for painting.
*Attention to detail and quality to ensure a professional finish.
