Job Description:

STS Technical Services is hiring Industrial Painters to join our team in Bedford, Pennsylvania. These direct-hire positions offer the chance to work with a Fortune 500 company using state-of-the-art painting equipment and processes. If you have a background in automotive or industrial painting and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is for you. Key Responsibilities

Prime, paint, and touch up vehicles using electrostatic/air assist paint guns and brushes.
Mask and unmask parts to meet specifications.
Prepare surfaces by sanding, washing, and conditioning; perform light bodywork as needed.
Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble painting equipment to ensure proper operation.
Flush tanks, hoses, and spray guns during color changeovers.
Mix paints for proper color, formula, viscosity, and consistency.
Perform titrations and adjust chemicals in paint, zinc, or other processes as required.
Apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing when specified.
Inspect parts throughout the painting process to ensure quality standards are met.
Move parts and assemblies using material handling equipment such as forklifts or overhead cranes.
Maintain work areas, including cleaning and performing preventative maintenance.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications Basic Requirements:

Six (6) months of painting experience in automotive, heavy vehicle/equipment, or industrial settings.
Strong mathematical skills.
Basic mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

One (1) year or more of relevant painting experience.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and troubleshoot painting issues.

Physical and Safety Requirements

Safety glasses and safety shoes are mandatory at all times.
Respirator use is required during painting and some preparation activities.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.

Work Schedule

2nd Shift: 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
