Location Profile:

The Noranco Deer Valley and Jet Processing facilities were recently acquired by PCC. PCC provides high precision machined and fabricated components to the commercial and aerospace industry, along with anodizing, passivation and other surface treatments. Aircraft platforms currently include the Boeing 737, Airbus A380, Lockheed Martin F-35 and Gulfstream E650. Combined annual sales revenue is in excess of $40 million and growing.

Position Summary:

Paint Masker Level 1: Under direct supervision, a Paint Masker will perform simple masking of required part features with appropriate masking materials (such as tapes, paper, plugs, etc.) to protect the areas from processing. Insuring and validating part cleanliness, damage free surfaces, and part configurations are some of the essential functions a level one masker will be required to perform. Other responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as adherence to organization safety rules and regulations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work Order Interaction
    • Correctly interpret work order / traveler
    • Production tracking “M1”
    • Gather masking supplies (Plugs, tapes, tooling, etc.)
  • Tools – General & Inspection
    • Basic hand tools (Ceramic, etc.)
  • Equipment & Area Maintenance
    • Cleanliness / organization (6S)
    • Basic maintenance (Tools, equipment)
  • Part Protection
    • Part handling
    • Basic part transport
    • Correctly identify FOD
  • Productivity & Quality
    • Basic print reading
    • Visual inspection (Damage, scratches, etc.)
    • Meets production goals
    • Basic masking process

Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of masking and masking materials
  • Knowledge of basic measurements
  • Basic measuring tools
  • Read and write in English
  • Basic computer skills

Required Experience:

  • Entry level position. No experience required.

Level of Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED desired but not required.
