Collins Aerospace is looking for a Painter III position to join their team in Medley, FL. This position will perform paint and surface prep operations for painting. After the parts have been painted the individual will un-rack the parts and deliver them to the internal customer

What You Will Do:

• Responsible for priming and final painting of detail parts and final assemblies to current spec requirements
• Maintain paint equipment, mix paint, paint control.
• Follow standard operating procedures and specifications
• Mix paint to specified viscosity
• Clean, assemble and adjust spray guns and equipment
• Wash, wipe and sand parts when necessary
• Mask and prep parts for paint as required
• Cure parts after topcoat application
• Operate Chart recorders

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High school diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a high school diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:  https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• 3-5 years of experience in painting and decorating, including experience with various painting techniques and tools. 
• Strong understanding of painting materials, techniques, and safety procedures. 
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
