Department of Aerospace – Flight Instruction Clinical Track Faculty

The Department of Aerospace at Middle Tennessee State University is seeking qualified applicants for two 12 month, full-time temporary clinical-track positions (#114210, 120410). The positions can be filled at any time during the academic year. These are one year temporary positions with possible annual contract renewal up to three years.
The successful candidates will be expected to provide flight instruction and related administrative support to students in the Professional Pilot concentration at the University’s Part 141 Flight School. It is expected that the primary responsibility of the positions will be instructing advanced students. Flight instruction at other levels and as a stage check pilot may also be expected.
- A bachelor’s degree, Commercial SEL and MEL certificate, and valid Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument Instructor, and Multi-engine Instructor Certificates are required.
- Applicants must also possess a valid Second Class FAA Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 2 years flight instruction experience and 500 hours of dual given is required.
- Applicants who possess a history of successful CFI applicant training will receive special consideration.
