We are partnered with a part 91 operator in Sioux City, IA who’s looking for a Second in Command (SIC)/First Officer for their G280. This individual will be responsible for assisting the Captain in all phases of the flight, including pre-flight preparation, navigation, monitoring systems, and ensuring safety and regulations are followed. The SIC will perform their duties on an as-needed basis throughout the year under the direction of the Chief Pilot and Company CEO. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft and excellent customer service to all persons on board
- Conduct pre-flight inspections to ensure the aircraft is in safe and operational condition, including reviewing maintenance logs, planned routes, weather reports, NOTAMs, and pilot information files
- maintain and manage all necessary paperwork as required
- Assist in towing, cleaning, and fueling the aircraft
- Maintain the hangar facility (interior and exterior)
- Attend and pass a G280 initial and/or annual recurrent training as required (provided by the company)
- Assist in flight planning, including route selection, fuel calculations, and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Participating in crew resource management training and promoting a culture of safety and teamwork among the flight crew
- Other duties as assigned
