Job Description:

The Director of Parts Sales and Inventory will be responsible for oversight of all Ventura parts purchasing and sales. They will manage a team of parts people who will manage an active parts inventory at Ventura’s maintenance facility, will search for and purchase parts in support of Ventura’s maintenance activities, and will sell excess parts inventory. The Director of parts will be expected to be a creative strategist that will work on finding potential parts aircraft, developing systems for selling off parts at a profit, and determining appropriate parts inventories for support of Ventura’s charter operation.

Key Responsibilities include:

Monitoring the market and identifying prospective parts aircraft
Manage the purchase and inspection of prospective parts aircraft
Negotiating large component sales from parts aircraft
Drive internal analysis of when to part out Ventura’s aircraft
Create inventory process for parts
Ongoing management of parts inventory including regular audit procedures
Marketing and relationship building to prospective parts customers
Build and manage a parts purchasing/sales team
Interface with maintenance control and planning to strategize on parts needed for the Ventura
fleet, where to station them and how to purchase them right.
Sourcing critical parts for AOG
Overall strategy of the parts department

Job Requirements:

Previous Part 91,135 or 145 charter experience
Previous experience managing vendor relationships- sales/inventory
Has worked with aviation inventory systems previously
Specific experience with parting out aircrafts and selling large components
