Job Description:

We are a well-established, global specialty chemical manufacturer and Tier 1 supplier focused on the development, manufacture and marketing of innovative specialty chemical solutions to Aviation, Defense, Marine, Transportation, Biosecurity and other industries. We are seeking an experienced, and highly motivated Sr. Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in the USA. This position will support our Aviation MRO Division. 

Position Overview: 
The position you are applying for requires experience selling aviation products and services. You will be responsible for further growing our business in the North and South American marketplace. This position will require extensive travel. 

This position will be responsible for: 

  • Aggressively promoting our Aviation MRO product range to the market with a primary focus on OEMs, Airlines, MROs, FBOs, Airports, 3rd Party Service Companies, Distributors, Tier 1 Manufacturers, and the Defense industry. 
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of the company’s products, application procedures, OEM specifications, and the product's positioning against relevant competition in the market. 
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities throughout the Americas market. 
  • Consistently achieving quarterly and annual KPIs.  
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities. 
  • Performing trials and educating customers on proper application methods, product performance benefits, and the financial benefits associated with each product. 
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends. 
  • Promote and maintain customer relationships by conducting regular on-site visits to current and potential customers. 
  • Developing innovative sales strategies to continually drive sales growth, including promotional activities, regional and national trade organization events, and customer appreciation events. 
  • Maintaining sales pipeline(s), capture schedules, and account plans.  
  • Driving the Research and Development team to create new products to improve performance, meet sustainability or regulatory requirements, fill gaps in the existing product offering, or achieve new OEM or Defense specifications.  
  • Coordinating with management to develop pricing and benefit structures for RFQs and proposals.

Location: Remote (Home Office) 

Job Requirements:
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA. 
  • Must be able to travel internationally throughout the Americas. 
  • Must be able to travel domestically throughout the USA. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or similar field or equivalent work experience. 
  • 10+ years of business development experience. 
  • 5+ years of Aviation MRO product sales experience. 
  • Chemical product experience preferred. 
  • Must have an existing network of contacts within the market. 
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to find creative solutions to complex issues customers may be facing. 
  • Proficiency in using MS Office and experience in CRM software and databases in general. 
  • Strong communication abilities to regularly meet with customers to learn their goals and needs and professionally relay this information internally.
