The Sales Support Agent will assist the Benelux travel agents in selling Air Canada flights to their customers.  Our distribution partners, the agents, are mainly looking for guidance regarding flight schedules, products, pricing, ticketing procedures or group offers.  The Sales Support Agents have a key role in promoting our products & services and are first line Air Canada ambassadors. 

Internally, the Sales Support Agents ensure a smooth administrative follow-up while also performing in a supportive role to the Sales Managers.  

Responsibilities :

  • Support to our key account agents (help desk) in Benelux.
  • Group reservations & ticketing.
  • Follow-up in accounting, sales reports & refunds.
  • Support in local administration and invoice handling.
  • Assist in B2B and B2C marketing & communications.
  • Coordination of sales events.
  • Assisting the sales team in outside sales activities, e.g. trade fairs & product presentations.
  • Benchmarking, data tracking & sales statistics analysis.
  • Preparation & updates of product presentations for the sales team.
  • Preparation of figures and data to support review meetings and sales strategic decisions.
  • Updates and monitoring of the web content (local homepage) and web support duties.
  • Support other markets in the Regional Manager Sales’ portfolio if required.

Actual duties and responsibilities may include any or all of the functional duties & responsibilities listed above plus any other related tasks as assigned by the employee’s superior.

Qualifications

  • Tourism diploma/degree or equivalent by experience.
  • Sales support & reservations/ticketing experience preferably with airline or in the tourism industry.
  • Good knowledge of global distribution systems (GDS).  Experience with Altea is a bonus.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and MS Office.

Working Conditions : 

  • Permanent Full-Time position.
  • Ability to work and live in Belgium.
  • Office hours (Monday to Friday).
  • Position based in Diegem (BE).

Conditions of Employment:

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest, at the time any offer of employment is made and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations which may be required is the sole responsibility of the candidates applying for this position.

Linguistic Requirements

  • Excellent level in English, written and spoken.
  • Fluent in Dutch and/or French. (both is an asset)
