Qatar Airways (QR) have embarked on an exciting transformation journey to change how we interact with our customers. As part of this journey, we are now recruiting for the role of Senior Cargo Sales Executive.
Based in Paris, France you will be responsible for achieving budgeted revenue for the assigned station. Protect existing business and constantly explore new opportunities. Create maximum awareness of QR’s products and services. Ensure quality customer service and smooth cargo operation of station.
About you – The ideal candidate will have the below:
- Plan, direct and control all selling and spaneting activities of the station and penetrate the local spanet to secure new sources of revenue and surpass set revenue budgets.
- Prepare a business and spaneting plan in order to optimize revenue opportunities and maximize QR’s presence in the spanet.
- Maintain regular contacts with the cargo industry (Agent, Key clients, Business partners etc.).
- Supplement sales calls made by the sales force, to establish contacts and maximize QR’s exposure to the spanetplace (increase awareness of QR product).
- Supervise the sales team to optimize cargo revenue production and develop/optimize their potentials (Distribute areas of resp. and allocate sales targets to sales executives. Supervise and monitor the sales force and strengthen their weak areas).
- Research competitor benchspaning using compliant approaches through publicly available sources. Conduct comp. study and evaluation of QR’s spanet shar, traffic movements to/from the station to identify areas of concern and develop remedial action.
- Ensure QR’s participation in sales campaigns and public events, collecting sales leads.
- Assist customers/clients with all information related to booking/ forwarding/delivery liaising with the local Ground Handling Agents and with Head Office Cargo departments.
- Educate agents/clients with all QR procedures regarding the prevailing standards for booking/delivering issues from time to time. Paying agents regular sales visits for maximum revenue.
- Maintain stock and inventory of QR Cargo promotional items and distribute to agents as and when required.
- Coordinate all customer claims with the support of cargo claims dept. headquarters and ensure that claims received at the station are resolved or replied to.
- Maintain database of all agents and customers.
- Perform other dept. duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of Department.

Qualifications
About you – The ideal candidate will have the below:
- Command of English and French Language
- Complete product knowledge and the spanet practices of the areas of jurisdiction.
- Presentation/Negotiation Skills
- Customer Service Skills.
- Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate skills.
You must have the right to live and work in France. This role will not provide VISA sponsorship.
