POSITION OVERVIEW
The Vice President of Sales is a key executive leader responsible for driving the strategic direction, performance, and growth of the company’s sales operations in the aviation industry. This role focuses on achieving revenue targets, expanding market share, and building lasting relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders. The VP of Sales collaborates with cross-functional teams to align business objectives and deliver innovative solutions to meet customer needs in the dynamic aviation market.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for an extended period of time. Requires frequent walking. Requires occasional bending, reaching to shoulder level and lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 10 pounds. Requires good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated: Telephone, personal computer, printer, copy machine, facsimile machine, cell phone, electric cart and marketing van.
Travel: Extensive domestic and international air and ground travel.
Potential Hazards: Exposure to materials identified on Safety Data Sheets.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s vision, goals, and market opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key clients, industry partners, and government agencies.
- Identify new business opportunities in aviation services, products, or technologies to expand the company’s footprint.
- Negotiate and close high-value contracts with a focus on long-term partnerships.
- Set sales performance metrics and regularly review team performance against targets.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to the executive team.
- Ensure cost-effective sales operations while maximizing profitability.
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align efforts and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Provide market feedback to influence product/service development and enhance competitive positioning.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and events to promote brand visibility.
- Ensure sales activities comply with aviation industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
Marginal Job Functions:
- Respond to inquiries and assist/escort visitors to on the premises as necessary.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Ensure that all work performed is done in a safe manner. Directs activities to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.
SMS REQUIREMENTS
- Will provide top-level resources and support to SMS compliance, FAA regulations, safe workplace initiatives/practices, and to eliminate health hazards.
- Will consider all employee suggestions to propose solutions, and/or possible improvements for achieving a safer, healthier workplace.
- Will monitor, measure and track safety objectives to ensure performance standards are met and to implement continuous improvement measures.
