About the Company
Southern Seaplane is located on the Westbank of the Mississippi River across from downtown New Orleans in the city of Belle Chasse. It is currently and always has been family owned and operated. It was founded in 1954 as an air charter operation mainly catering to oil field personnel. Today it has grown to a full scale operation offering executive charters, fishing trips, and a wide variety of air tours. Southern Seaplane had the only Part 141 seaplane school in the country. Southern Seaplane continuously strives to maintain the highest standards of quality possible.
