AQP Technical Writer Overview:
Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Technical Writer (Contractor) to provide the toolset, and knowledge, to assist in our Flight Training team to deliver a learning experience in support of Sun Country Airlines. As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating clear and concise documentation for development, advancement, maintenance, and production of AQP training courseware. This position is ideal for someone who has a passion for pilot training and enjoys communicating complex information in a user-friendly manner.
Essential roles and responsibilities of an AQP Technical Writer:

- Document Creation: Work with subject matter experts to create clear and concise documentation in support of the AQP team and Flight Training.
- Content Review: Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information, review drafts, and ensure accuracy of technical documentation.
- Editing and Formatting: Edit content for clarity, consistency, and adherence to company style guides. Format documents to enhance readability and ensure they comply with established templates.
- Content Management: Organize and maintain documentation repositories. Ensure all documents are up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on documentation to identify and rectify errors in grammar, punctuation, and technical content.
The qualifications we are looking for in an AQP Technical Writer include:
- High School Diploma/QED or equivalent work experience
- Experience with MS Office Suite software
- Ability to effectively present information to large groups
- Willing to learn and demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of Sun Country policies, procedures, and processes
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of air carrier training programs and associated FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations
- AQP implementation and operations experience
- Pilot experience and knowledge
- Instructor/Facilitator/Evaluator experience
