We are currently seeking an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) pilot and technician to support our new aerial services program. This is a full-time position. ULC's Aerial Services division is growing and this role will be essential helping establish ULC as a leader deploying specialized UAV technology for existing utility clients and beyond. In order to ensure our equipment is reliable and safe, we test it extensively in controlled environments before allowing it to be used in for customer work. Our pilots are highly qualified and trained to conduct work safely for our utility customers.
The chosen candidate will serve as UAV pilot and technician to support our growing program by taking training courses, working with our existing pilots and learning to maintain our purpose built UAV systems. This position requires regular travel and working remotely from the field. Because this is a new and growing business for ULC, the ideal candidate should have other useful experience that may be utilized between UAV assignments. Some examples of relevant experience may include but are not limited to: mechanical, electrical or civil engineering, construction, agriculture, videography or land surveying. Although ULC Robotics is based out of Long Island, NY, the position will require travel within the northeastern US, but other potential locations.
