The essential responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead the financial strategy, planning, and management of the company, ensuring alignment with the organization's long-term goals.
- Oversee all accounting functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and present timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial statements, reports, and analyses to executive leadership, board members, and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage the company's budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate financial projections and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls, particularly in relation to aviation industry-specific financial regulations.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk, ensuring the company has the necessary resources for growth, expansion, and operations.
- Lead a team of finance professionals, providing mentorship, training, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing finance department.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and executive teams to identify financial drivers and improve business performance across various departments.
- Oversee audits, tax planning, and reporting requirements, working closely with external auditors and tax professionals.
- Manage banking relationships, financing activities, and capital structure optimization to support company goals.
- Stay abreast of developments in the private aviation industry, including market trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors that could impact financial performance.
