Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Physical review of landing gear components and pertinent manuals and instructions (i.e. Customer Repair Orders to ensure clarity in customer’s instructions when issuing work orders, Work Scopes, etc.).
- Decipher inspection procedures from Component Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogues, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Service Letters.
- Create, maintain and revise Bills of Material, Inspection Reports, Master Routing Sequences, Process Instructions, and Testing Procedures.
- Scan and maintain documents in database and Issue initial documentation to induct work.
- Configure new data into the computerized maintenance system (Pentagon).
- Verify accuracy and completeness of computer output reports against data input.
- Perform trial runs to identify and provide solutions for potential problems.
- Maintain non-conformance reports and corrective action request logs.
- Liaison for customer audits, and work with vendors and interact with government agencies in regard to safety and training.
- Maintain compliance with company policy and government regulations regarding safety and environmental health by overseeing medical monitoring programs (hearing, chemical absorption, and fit tests), hazardous waste procedures, updating emergency plans, and ensuring an adequate amount of available PPE, fire extinguishers, first-aid, etc.
- Conduct initial, recurrent and remedial training.
- Develop and maintain training curriculum and maintain accurate training records.
- Additional duties as instructed by Supervisor.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or an equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of previous data entry experience.
- Two (2) years of experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning systems
- Must be certified in a safety related field such as environmental and safety compliance, or hazardous materials
- Previous experience in aviation and/or aircraft maintenance is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of FAR 145 regulations is preferred but not required
