Based at: HQ - Ontario, CA

Position Summary:

A successful candidate will perform the necessary job functions to support our HR department. Responsible for managing all full-cycle recruiting and onboarding processes and procedures by supporting CAS’ goal to recruit and retain high quality workforce. Creates and maintains recruitment and onboarding files. Uses customer services skills to communicate with applicants, hiring managers, and the HR team via email, telephone, and in person.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruits A&P Mechanics, Mechanic Assistants, Station Managers, office staff and other subject matter specialists for administrative, line maintenance and management positions.
  • Works with HR staff to create/ updates job descriptions as needed.
  • Works with hiring managers to develop candidate education, experience, and licensing requirements.
  • Approves, posts, and monitors all job requisitions within the organization.
  • Utilizes the company’s applicant tracking system- Paycom, Indeed, and JSFirm- with hiring managers and HR staff. Additionally, assists hiring managers as needed with the integration.
  • Maintains productive and collaborative relationships with internal team members for onboarding and recruiting purposes.
  • Delivers consistent application of HR policies, legislation, and best practices for hiring candidates.
  • Screens and reviews candidates’ resumes and schedules interviews for the hiring managers.
  • Schedules pre-hire drug screenings as required by the FAA DOT policy.
  • Reviews and verifies all completed new hire documents and applicants’ information before processing them for onboarding.
  • Assembles document packets as required, i.e. employee files, license verification files, and D&A records checks in compliance with FAA DOT policies.
  • Ensures the compliance portion of the onboarding process is complete and manages employee data by entering and organizing data in systems.
  • Attends job fairs locally, regionally, state, nationally, and internationally as required.
  • Performs other compliant duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent computer skills, including a high degree in Microsoft 365
  • Proficiency in Paycom or a related ATS
  • Preferred to have extensive knowledge of FAA DOT compliance policies and procedures, as well as the aptitude for quickly acquiring this knowledge and understanding through CAS.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with 2 years of HR or Recruiting experience.

Job Type:

  • Full-time

Pay:

  • $24-$27 per hour. Based on level of experience.
