Experienced avionics technician and troubleshooter with at least 5 years of pertinent experience required for growing avionics/repair station in lovely Newnan, Georgia.   

• Must have experience installing complete avionics systems (EFIS, Autopilot, GPS systems and navigators, etc.) in general aviation airplanes including up to business jet/turboprops.   
• Garmin avionics experienced is very highly desired.   

This position requires someone who can manage an entire avionics installation from start to finish with minimal supervision.  This includes planning, preparation, wire harness design/creation, installation, configuration and troubleshooting. May include day-to-day supervision of less experienced technicians. Basic computer skills are necessary and advanced computer skills are desired.

MANDATORY:

• U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in a FAA Part 145 repair station
• Understand and interpret wire diagrams, installation and maintenance manuals without assistance.
• At least 5 years of recent avionics installation experience to include managing/conducting installations of electronic flight displays, GPS/Nav/Comm systems, autopilot systems, audio systems
• Experience installing and troubleshooting avionics in general aviation and business class aircraft (Light Business Jet, King Air, etc.)
• Drug and Alcohol screening

HIGHLY DESIRED:

• Garmin avionics experience (including installing and troubleshooting)
• Some management experience of similar programs and/or people
• Previous work in a similar Part 145 work environment
• Proven ability and desire to learn new skills (i.e., advanced avionics, IFR/VFR certifications, CAD and CNC equipment)
• Sheet metal and fabrication related to avionics installations

DESIRED:

• Airframe License (or A&P) or eligible for Repairman Certificate (inspector)
• Computer literacy (knowledge of MS Office, ability to quickly learn CAD/CAM and other software)
• Helicopter avionics experience
