KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The New Pacific Aircraft Dispatcher is a part of the Flight Operations team ensuring adequate Operational Control and safety of flight for all New Pacific aircraft operations, whether Part 121 Domestic, Part 121 Supplemental or Part 91 Non-Routine Flight Operations. The Aircraft Dispatcher collaborates with other departments as appropriate to ensure smooth and efficient operations.  Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Upholding safety by gathering, reviewing, and disseminating aviation weather and NOTAMs to ensure the safe initiation and continuation of flights.
  • Demonstrating commitment through accurately communicating the Company’s Aircraft Movements so customers as well as other co-workers are aware of flight and aircraft status.
  • Acting with integrity when completing a Risk Assessment for all flights considering Equipment, Manpower, Weather and Runway risks.
  • Embodying the spirit of connectedness by coordinating with the aircraft maintenance department to ensure aircraft are airworthy and suitable for the intended flight.
  • Showing reliability through recording the amount of fuel required for the safe completion of flight according to the aircraft, distance of flight, maintenance limitations, weather conditions, and minimum fuel requirements, prescribed by federal aviation regulations.
  • Promoting commitment by engaging in courteous and respectful interactions with customers, supervisors, co-workers, and business associates.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher airman certificate, previous dispatch experience or a strong aviation background, as well as the ability to demonstrate understanding of FAR’s, Operation Specifications, NOTAMs and weather.  Other qualifications include:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED; while college/university education is preferred.
  • Must hold a FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Airman Certificate.
  • Must have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and navigating internet resources for weather, NOTAMs, etc.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong research abilities and excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to maintain focus and professional demeanor in a fast-pace, high-stress environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
  • Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
