Annual Aviation Career Expo Features 50 Exhibitors, Hundreds of Openings Michigan job seekers will have an opportunity to meet with over 50 exhibitors during the 4th Annual Aviation Career Expo hosted by the Michigan Institute of Aviation and Technology (MIAT) at Willow Run Airport on Thursday, May 7, from 12:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Recruiters from companies in Michigan and across the U.S. will be hiring for both aviation and non-aviation positions. It is recommended that participants dress for success and bring plenty of résumés. Static displays of aircraft and related equipment will also be available for hands-on exploration. The event will include a Salute to Veterans. Veteran representatives from the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth (DELEG), the Veterans Administration, and MIAT will be available to assist with veteran issues. All veterans attending this event will be invited to the Veteran Hospitality room for refreshments, and additional Veteran resource exhibitors will be on hand for questions. MOC1, the Michigan DELEG mobile job center, will be on site for tours and to assist those attending. Participants will be able to discuss career training options with a number of education and training providers. Other organizations such as Yankee Air Museum, Michigan Career Development Association, and Women in Aviation International will host informational exhibitor booths. A number of local, county, and state dignitaries are expected to attend. An invitation-only ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 12:00pm.
