Vector Aerospace Corporation, one of the world’s leading independent providers of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services is pleased to announce the signing of a Service Center Agreement with Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), based in Chicago, Illinois and Farnborough, United Kingdom.
As per the terms of the four-year agreement, Vector provides JSSI and its customers fixed and rotary-wing aircraft engine repair and overhaul support from Vector’s Engine Services operations located in Prince Edward Island, Canada; Gosport, United Kingdom and Johannesburg, South Africa. The Agreement also includes helicopter engine repair and overhaul services provided at the Vector Helicopter Services facility located in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.
“We are pleased to have entered into this arrangement with JSSI,” says Brian Thompson, president of Vector Aerospace Engine Services-Atlantic. “We offer a comprehensive engine and component repair, overhaul and test alternative that will be of great benefit to JSSI and their customers. Our ability to provide our services through a variety of locations, combined with the range of support we can offer them across several product lines provides JSSI with an efficient and customer-focused solution to their repair and overhaul needs.”
Thompson elaborates on the specifics of the agreement, explaining that the terms include repair, hot section inspections, modifications, overhaul and test support for a variety of engine models including the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, JT15D, PW100, PW307 and PW308 engine lines; all are specialties of Vector Aerospace Engine Services-Atlantic. Additionally, the agreement includes repair and overhaul services for the Turbomeca Arriel 1 engine; a model which Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services-North America has supported for nearly 20 years.
