Dumont GROUP is a dynamic, fast-growing FAA Part 135 and
Part 145 company with locations in New Castle, Delaware, Bloomington, Illinois,
and Fort Worth, Texas. Our company specializes in the charter, management,
maintenance, and sale of corporate aircraft. Dumont GROUP’s robust fleet of
twenty-five aircraft fly both domestically and internationally.
Dumont MRO is currently seeking a full-time Materials
Manager to join their team in New Castle, Delaware to assist with the company’s
Part 135 and 145 operations. This position oversees the procurement for Dumont
MRO and Dumont JETS, manages the shipping and receiving at Volo Direct, and
supports all Dumont MRO locations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates working industry knowledge of parts, airframes, and maintenance procedures
  • Conducts market search for available parts and makes purchasing recommendations to management
  • Purchases parts as requested in accordance with condition and lead time required
  • Actively manages vendor relationships to lower costs and ensure timely delivery of purchased units
  • Ensures stock room is kept organized and all inventory is accounted for
  • Supports 24/7 AOG coverage by sourcing parts after hours as needed
  • Manages inventory stock levels and inventory consolidations 
  • Oversees the issuing of purchase orders, track incoming shipments for timely and accurate deliveries, and notify maintenance planning of any delays or issues
  • Manages materials coordinators to provide timely and accurate support to aircraft in work in the MROs, as well as aircraft in work by external vendors away from base
  • Make recommendations on process changes that will improve quality, drive efficiencies, and reduce costs of the materials department 
  • Gain approval for quotes, review invoices for payment, and work directly with the accounting team to resolve any issues in the invoicing process
  • Other duties as assigned 
Job Requirements:
Qualifications 
  • 3 to 5 years working for a FAR 135 or 145 operation is preferred
  • Ability to reference Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPCs) for part compatibility information and familiarity with CAMP and CMP preferred
  • General knowledge of aircraft systems such as electrical, mechanical and avionics required
  • Project management skills and experience desired   
  • Must have strong organizational skills and work well under pressure 
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Must have a flexible schedule to support the operational needs by working shifts and weekends, if required
