KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Ability to operate power and/or hand tools and equipment such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, micrometers, go-no-go gauges, multi-meters, feeler gauges and tension meters.
• Work assignments, not detailed in the workbook or in Maintenance Procedure Cards, require remembering directions and sequences.
• With appropriate training and experience, the employee must develop the ability to read, understand and apply trade or administrative guides such as technical manuals, technical orders, blueprints, sketches, and other related documentation.
• Posses knowledge, skill, and ability to follow appropriate safety procedures common to the trade.
• In addition, knowledge of specific hazardous materials and hazardous wastes procedures is required including fitting and usage of protective gear and completion of related training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year aircraft related mechanical experience.
• Prior job experience or on-the-job training is normally required to gain the ability to proper use of tools and equipment and the duties performed, require continual care and attention to both avoid accidents and to finish the work properly.
• Must be able to gain and obtain a Government Security Clearance
