OVERVIEW OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Sweet Helicopters maintenance manager will emulate our core values of Honor, Humility, Helpfulness, Happiness (positive mindset), and Hungry (to improve and grow). The ideal maintenance manager will be “customer-centric” with a can-do attitude when it comes to ensuring customer satisfaction, while always focusing on safety as the number one priority. In this role the incumbent must be adaptable to working in multiple environments, whether in the office, working remotely, or traveling, to maintain good communication and effectively manage daily responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to the Director of Maintenance (DOM) for duty assignments and maintenance budgeting.
  • Performs all management duties and any other specific duties assigned by the DOM.
  • Maintains a high degree of coordination with the Director of Maintenance.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of aircraft, engines, and components in the manner prescribed by the manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and applicable FARs.
  • Responsible for the maintenance conformity of customer aircraft within the manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Responsible for assigning tasks established by the DOM to the individual shop mechanics.
  • Maintain a professional, efficient, and cordial manner always.
  • Must always be a great communicator and have the highest degree of integrity and respect for others.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the continuous improvement of safety throughout the organization.
  • Manage equipment, and facilities, to support efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Responsible for the electronic and legal maintenance logbook entries pertaining to the work performed in the shop.
  • Adhere to the duties and responsibilities outlined in the General Operations Manual (GOM).
  • Coordinate any issues or discrepancies on the customer aircraft with the DOM.
  • Assist with customer communications on aircraft status or discrepancies in the absence of the DOM.
  • Assist with other team members with general cleaning of the work areas.
  • Direct team members with general cleaning of all work areas to ensure maximum efficiency and safety.
  • Keep personal workspace neat and orderly.
Job Requirements:
  • FAA A&P license.
  • FAA IA privileges preferred or have qualifications and experience to acquire IA status.
  • Must have 8 years of Helicopter mechanical experience.
  • Must have turbine helicopter mechanical experience.
  • Airbus EC130T2, AS340B3e, and Leonardo/Agusta AW109SP experience preferred.
  • Must have a Valid US Passport.
  • Must live (or be willing to relocate to) the Fort Wayne, IN area.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history record check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
